Pevensey Village is a small historic settlement with many ancient buildings
dominated by the East Gate of Pevensey Castle. The Norman castle is run by
English Heritage and open to the public.
Other buildings in this historic village open to the public are The Courthouse, the smallest town hall in England, The Mint House and the Norman church of St Nicolas. There are several inns and one hotel serving various meals.
There is a large recreation ground where cricket and football including junior football are played with fenced children's play area. Anderida Park is a large field at the rear of this recreation ground where dog walking is encouraged.
